20th APIDA AWARDS PRESENTATION CUM GALA DINNER
SHAPE YOUR SPACE SHAPE OUR FUTURE
The Hong Kong Interior Design Association (“HKIDA”) had its annual gala dinner and presented the 10 categories of the 20th Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards (“APIDA”) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 22 Nov 2012.
Organized by the HKIDA, the APIDA has been a driving force for discovering and recognizing interior design talents in Asia Pacific in the past 20 years, and has become one of the most renowned and reputable industry awards. APIDA is adjudicated by local and international interior design masters in a fair and vigorous screening process, which is why the award is now a benchmark of achievement for many interior designers and is widely celebrated by top interior design brands.
This year, the APIDA received nearly 600 submissions including many overseas entries from countries such as Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Macau, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Korea, Australia and New Zealand. International projects have significantly increased this year, marking the success of the HKIDA in the promotion of professionalism in the Asia Pacific Interior Design, as well as showcasing the ever-enriching collaborations among professionals in the region.

East Gathering - Hong Kong 2012
Tri-City (Hong Kong, Tokyo & Seoul) Interior Design Gathering
HKIDA was proud to have hosted the Hong Kong edition of East Gathering between 22-24 November, 2012. The event was a great success, drawing hundreds of people to the seminar and exhibition. In addition, the student design camp attracted interior design students from four main education institutions in Hong Kong as well as students from Japan and South Korea, who were mentored by professionals from all three regions on projects related to revitalizations of old buildings. The design camp not only allowed students to interact with their counterparts from other countries, but also learn from top industry professionals.
