On 18 Jul 2014, HKIDA partnered with BAGNODESIGN London to host a networking meeting. This event provided an excellent opportunity for our members to share their works and ideas with other professional designers in a casual and relaxed setting. More than 60 members of HKIDA and friends of design counterpart gathered at the BAGNODESIGN Architectural & Design Centre and gave a warm welcome to our New Members at the same time.

SPACE DESIGN EXPERIENCE AT THE 1st HK-SZ DESIGN BIENNALE
The HK-SZ Design Biennale is the first ever jointly organized by the two cities that focuses on Design, and also serves as an opportunity for the industry to celebrate the achievements of the design industries in Hong Kong and Shenzhen so as to allow us to leverage on our past and grow into the future.
Shenzhen Interior Design Association and Hong Kong Federation of Design Associations were also one of the major organizers, whereas HKIDA was invited to participate in the Space Design Experience.
Designers from the two cities joined the large-scale exhibition in an attempt to move and enlighten the public with a focus on interactivity between the usage of materials, originality in furniture manufacturing, art installation and artistry in lighting by three parts: Between Walls Space Design Installation, Young Designers Exhibition, Open the box: DIY Furniture Workshop. Over 20 HKIDA members had involved to this Design Biennale and we would like to give special thanks to Mr. Joey Ho, Mr. Enoch Hui, Ms. Margaret Lai and Ms. Po Po Leung’s contribution in the exhibition.
