East Gathering (EG) was successfully held in Singapore on 10 March 2018. EG 2018 provided a platform of cultural exchange and attracted about 100 interior design professionals to join.
Speaks from Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea presented various topics related to interior design. During the day, conference participants had the opportunity to choose among different sessions to discuss topics and develop recommendations.
EG initially was started as a tri-city (cities/countries in the East) event featuring top interior designers from Tokyo, Japan, Seoul, South Korea and Hong Kong. The event is jointly presented by HKIDA, the Japanese Commercial Environment Designers Association (JCD) and the Korean Society of Interior Designers (KOSID). The first edition of the event, which kicked off in Hong Kong in December 2010, also took place in February 2011 in Tokyo and October 2011 in Seoul, and comprised exhibition, seminars, student workshops and casual gatherings.
EG grown bigger having Chinese Society of Interior Design (CSID) Taiwan to join in 2016 and until this year having Society of Interior Designers Singapore (SIDS) which became a 5 cities industry and cultural exchange events.
